The Beginning Stages...
Documenting the creation of a piece from start to finish allows me to highlight the skills I learned and the challenges I faced, which helped me improve the overall craftsmanship of the design. Aspiring to apply my garment construction abilities within a design house or team, the techniques I showcase here reflect the time and care I put into the making of these designs. Whilst simultaneously managing deadlines. These timeframes I have from concept to the final look has prepared me for the fast paced industry.

Senior Collection

This collection is earthy and textured that embodies resilience and honors my immigrant family background.
Created during a year of many immigrant communities facing uncertainty and displacement, this fear of being uprooted from their jobs, homes and their families, brought me to create a collection in catharsis and personal story telling to me, as I bring both fragility and strength through surface design, crochet techniques and structural pieces.
The natural themes and hand worked textures reflect movement and disruption. The structured pieces represent the restricted freedoms whilst the free flowing garments represent migration, resilience and overall hope.
These elements mirror the immigrant experience and connects to the personal meaning behind it. The designs ultimately highlight how even if people are uprooted their roots will always spread as I am a product of success stemming from the immigrant experience.
